Debug Logging
Debug logging writes all information relevant to a RADIUS
request processing to the packets log file. This information
includes the steps the server takes to handle a request. Its most
useful application is in wireless authentication, when ClearBox
Server need to exchange several messages with an access point
before it takes final authentication decision. This exchange is
complex as the data passed in encapsulated in EAP messages and may
be encrypted. In order to overcome this complexity, debug logging
writes all this data in clear and understandable form.
Debug logging should be turned with cautions and only for
initial server tuning or troubleshooting. Normal operation should
not be accompanied with debug logging as it significantly reduces
the server performance and, additionally, reveals security
information.
Debug logging is made only when Inject error messages
into transactions log option is turned on in Server
Manager (Server manager -> Server settings -> Logging
settings).
To change debug logs mode, run Server Manager, select Server
settings -> Logging settings -> Debug logs level (0 for
normal mode, 1 for debug mode).
